Mary Carol Williams

Hi! I am Mary Carol Williams - a self taught artist that has been painting for about 8 years now. Truly before this time I never painted yet now I can't stop. I am spontaneous and Childlike but I am convinced that everyone needs to find their way to express themselves and not repress it. I love color and my subjects are many. I seem to follow in the vein of Moses Tollivar, Grandma Moses, Clementine Hunter and the like-all finding their way when they were older and with a freedom to enjoy and handle what may come at them. I believe very strongly in God and know that without Him this daily joy would not occur. I hope to bring you a smile, I love everyday! I have sold over 1600 original drawings/paintings and many artworks displayed here will be original and available. Like many Outsider/Visionary artists, I tend to paint on every surface-mostly in acrylic/oil/ink.

I love to paint flowers and recently was thinking about the craze of Cabbage Patch dolls years ago. Then my mind went to how the doll's names fascinated me. SO... this is my series of colorful flowers with names. Now the names come from all the pets I see up for adoption through ads of shelters and classifieds. They seem so personal named as they are and I wish I could own each one-cats and dogs alike! My originals are small 5'x7' so they can be placed easily in a frame-but the added advantage of FAA is the size of prints. Thank you for looking in at this work-Love-Mary Carol
