Doug is a Sudbury, Ontario resident who started painting in watercolour in 1995 at age fifty. He painted infrequently until he retired in 2001 but since then he paints regularly. He has taken lessons and attended numerous workshops in both watercolour and acrylic. He paints mainly landscapes and wildlife but takes the occasional foray into still life and flowers.
He is a member of both the Sudbury Art Club and the Walden Art Club and has participated in shows with both clubs. He has also exhibited in the Lacloche Art Show.
